| The Fair Maiden Sky high fortress built of stone. She does her best to stay alone. A score of men have tried to take, all mundane, so she forsakes. Silken hair spun of gold. Eyes azure as ice, so cold, 'till the one, she can't believe, makes her ponder, “am I deceived”? His gaze is warm, his heart seems pure, but like before, she is unsure. Flowers, gifts, he'd serenade. Attempts to court her everyday. In angst, twas to no avail... but sturdy his love, and twould prevail. Alas! A wizard from a wicked land, swooped down upon her, to force her hand! Her suitor arrived, with a sword in a flash! His muscles glistened, in a gladiator clash! The sorcerer fell, her hero did not falter. Truly was he her knight, and of course... They lived happily ever after. Written by Tommy Garrison. (c) All Text Rights Reserved. |
