Lost Love Poem

The coldness of your side of the bed.
Your face, your smell printed in my head.
My mind imprisoned in a cell for one.
My love burns bright like the lonely sun.

A window’s breeze whispers in my ear,
I feel your breath, you seem so near.
In the depth of sleep I reach out for you.
My eyes they see, my hands reach through.

I know you’re there, I feel your presence.
Your love, your thoughts, your ever essence.
My midnight tears bring you close to me.
Your spirit surrounds, trying to set me free.

My heart has fallen deeper than most,
So I go on needing my true love ghost.
